Pulling another paintbrush from where it was skewered in his hair, Leonardo blinked at the painting, frowning.
He hated trying to work with his patrons breathing down his neck. They were so impatient, people could never understand that artwork took time to create, and that he was busy, usually with more than one thing at once?
Not to mention he had the biggest distraction to ever walk into an artist's workshop on a regular basis.
He clenched the paintbrush between his teeth, picking up his pencil to resketch a finger on the canvas, frowning at the lines.
"I hate this one." He muttered around the paintbrush.
"I think it's perfect."
Leonardo turned around, his eyes falling on the white robed figure, leaning on the door frame.
And there it was. The biggest distraction he'd ever seen.
Ezio blinked as Leonardo strode forwards, and pulled the codex scroll free from Ezio's grasp. "Another codex page!" He gasped, smiling.
"Leonardo..." Ezio grinned, stepping towards the artist. "You're ignoring me..."
"Ignoring-?" Leonardo turned, blinking as Ezio's hand caught his wrist. "Ezio, do you want me to work on this or not?" He asked softly, bumping into the workbench behind him, as Ezio's teeth nibbled on Leonardo's lip, his hand sliding up to Leonardo's clutching fingers, prying the codex page free.
"I'd rather work on you, Leonardo." Ezio grinned, placing the page on the workbench.
Lips barely brushing against Ezio's as he glanced to the canvas, Leonardo let his hand drop. "I can't, Ezio. I don't have the time...I've already kept this one waiting too long..." He protested softly. "How can I explain that I fell asleep during the sketching because I was up half the night enjoying your...skilled fingers?" Leonardo leaned forwards, his beautiful face twisted with sorrow and regret. "Mi displace. But my answer is no." He murmured softly.
Ezio closed the space between them, determined to at least have one kiss from his lover, hand gently holding the back of Leonardo's head as their tongues fought, trailing away from each other reluctantly.
"I will be upstairs, Leonardo. Should you...become distracted again." He offered. As he stalked towards the stairs, he slid the codex from the table, taking it with him. "You do your work. Play will soon follow, amore."
Leonardo smiled, and lazily waved Ezio upstairs. "Ciao, Ezio." He sighed, brushing his hair back from his forehead with a hand. He set his hands on his hips, and studied the half-finished sketch, scowling as he picked up his pencil once again.
He'd at least finish the sketch tonight if nothing else.

Tired and worn, Leonardo climbed the stairs to his bed sleepily.
It was late. So late, it was almost morning. He could hear the birds chirping a good morning to the city of Venice, happy to greet the new day.
He groaned, and sleepily pulled the heavy velvet curtains shut, engulfing the room in darkness.
Tossing the slight, cream undershirt he wore into some corner, followed swiftly by his breeches, Leonardo slipped into his bed, limbs sagging as he sank against the warmth he already knew was there. As he settled down, he smiled as an arm was thrown over his side.
"You've been up all night again?"
"Si." He yawned. Another wasted day. He let his eyes drift closed. "Do you have somewhere to be today?"
"Nowhere important." Ezio's lips pressed against his bare shoulder lazily, his fingers trailing over the thin covering of cotton that coated Leonardo's skin. "Assassins get days off too. Very rarely, but still..." He squeezed the body next to him gently, smiling. "And you'll sleep all morning, you lazy scoundrel."
Ezio raised an eyebrow when he recieved no reply. He let his Eagle Vision take over, smiling as Leonardo lit up blue underneath him.
The artist was fast asleep, mouth parted ever so slightly for air, one hand curled gently over the fingers that pressed flat against his chest.
Smiling, Ezio let the world fall dark around him, and wrapped his arms around Leonardo.
"Sleep well, amore." He whispered softly, settling back into place.

Encounter: Chapter 2
As if on cue, Lucy rushed into the lab. She muttered something about Dr. Vidic needing her for something. Her high heels clicked as she walked to the Animus purposefully only to stop when she saw Altaïr.
"How did this happen?" she demanded, knowing that neither Desmond or she knew.
"I don't know. The Animus screwed." Desmond eyed Altaïr, almost fearfully. The aura around the Animus was smoldering and had a dangerous feel...
Lucy seemed really stunned to see Altaïr. Blood she did not mind, but to just see him there... it was painful to just look at his wounds or the look of pain and failure on his blank face. For a moment she

The dry air scratched in his throat as he swallowed thickly, leaning his head against the tiles behind him. They were just as warm as the air around him and he squinted at the troublous ceiling, counting the repeating patterns that twisted across the dark base like snakes coiled around prey. The base was visible, but lay dead beneath the lively design. With a sigh, he closed his eyes, but the patterning had burned itself into his mind, shifting around behind his eyelids and reminding him. Always reminding everyone can see, it's not there, he will never be there again, we hide what you cannot.
The bathhouse was fairly empty at this tim

Encounter: Chapter 4
It had been 9 days since Altaïr had been admitted into the hospital. The first 7 days were in the Intensive Care unit. Days of waiting... worry... unknowing... Since in the IC, visitors were not allowed to stay. They could come and go and certain hours but were not able to stay in the room with him for the night. So Desmond and Lucy lived in the hotel a few blocks away from the hospital for a week. Everyday visits were made to Altaïr, but all this time he was unconscious. Maybe it was a coma; the doctors didn't know. Lucy thought it was an effect from the Animus as this was different from other coma states.
Than on the 8th day, Alt
