Shaun barely blinked as Desmond sat down heavily next to him, the Assassin-to-be smiling. "Hey." The soft greeting was punctuated with a kiss to Shaun's cheek, Shaun not turning in time to catch Desmond's lips.
"What's with you?" Shaun asked, shutting down his work. Desmond's smile widened.
"You remember...uhm...yesterday?" Desmond flushed, his eyes downcast. Shaun sighed.
"Are you still pissed that I snapped about you drinking my tea? Christ, Miles, it was just a cup of tea." Although it was his tea, Shaun added mentally.
"No, with Ezio. It was a huge misunderstanding." Desmond laughed, his eyes closed. "Leonardo wasn't happy with his model's...um...positioning. Ezio just walked in at the wrong time." Desmond opened his eyes. "Leonardo cornered him and asked why Ezio was avoiding him, and if it was because he was concentrating on a painting that was three weeks overdue."
"Hm...that doesn't actually surprise me as much as it should. Leonardo was a terrible pocrastinator and fussy with his models, especially the male models." Shaun smirked. "So Ezio was worried for nothing?"
Desmond laughed, and fidgeted nervously. "Yeah, they made up...So you were right about worrying over nothing."
Shaun raised his tea. "Well, mate, hate to say I told you so...but..."
"Yeah, yeah." Desmond blinked at the large, widescreen TV on the wall in front of them. "Hey, I know we have a lot of work to do, and a lot to get through, but do you think Lucy would kill us if we had a night off to ourselves?"
Shaun blinked. "You mean, no work?"
Smiling wide, Desmond nodded. "As bizarre as the concept may be to you, yeah. There's bound to be a bad film on we can enjoy together."
Shaun stared blankly at his laptop screen for a few minutes, before closing the device, and throwing an arm around the American, smiling, pulling Desmond to stretch the full length of the couch, his own feet stretching beyond the armrest.
"Well. The remote's there next to you, so find us something bad to watch, and I'm good right here." Shaun squeezed Desmond's shoulders happily. "Find us something to bitch at, Miles."
Sprawling across Shaun's lap, Desmond grinned, and flicked the television on, blinking.
"It's been forever since I saw T.V. Anything you want to watch?" He asked, bringing up the guide.
Shaun blinked, and scanned the list of programs, settling back against the couch, Desmond sprawled over his lower half, head raised to see the screen. "Stick Evil Dead 2 on. Fucking love that film."
Desmond smiled, and nuzzled into Shaun's chest, his eyes barely open anyway. He knew he'd get in trouble for not resting properly, hell, Shaun was probably going to get a worse yelling for 'being a bad influence'.
But, Desmond decided, the remote falling with a clatter, it was worth it.

Encounter: Chapter 8
And so Desmond was left alone with Altaïr. Could luck get any worse than that for him? Other than that he was kidnapped, kept hostage by an organization straight out of history, and not knowing if you'd still be alive the next day? Well, not technically, but everything sounded better when you exaggerated facts.
Anyways, it wasn't so bad when you were lying on a bed and dead-beat.
He couldn't understand why he felt this way for Altaïr. Firstly, he was a guy. That totally went against his supposed straightness. Secondly, he was related to him, even is somewhat distantly. And, he loved Lucy! Lucy!!
This stupid desire for him...

Falling in love, Altair+Kadar
(Memory Sequence Start)
Kadar reached out for one of the long leather straps, tightening it around the powerful rear end of the ebony stallion. The horse whinnied and turned its head toward the novice assassin. Kadar smiled apologetically at the steed and gave it a comforting pat on the flank. Tracing his hand up its side till he reached the saddle double checking that it was sitting properly on the horse's back
After confirming that the seat was properly fastened he moved up to the animals head and set about fastening the bridle. He eased the bit into the tranquil creature's mouth. Gently encourag

AltMal: Mixed Emotions (Ch. 1)
-Jerusalem/afternoon-
Malik Al-Sayf clenched the quill in his only hand tighter in frustration. Altair had left to gather information on his next target almost two hours ago. And although he always managed to be somewhat "unprofessional" at times, he was never this late in returning...
Had something happened to him? Surely "the great" Altair Ibn La'Ahad hadn't been taken down...had he?
His frustration slowly changing to concern, Malik set down his quill and began to pace the floor. What the hell was taking him so long?
I can't even go after him...Malik's sad but true thought haunted him with the fact that he could no longer be an assassin

Yeah, Leo wouldn't cheat on Ezio. But he was a very finicky painter. I can see him getting worked up over stupid stuff, and rearranging...bits.
So there! Misunderstanding is cleared up, Shaun and Des get a night off, and I wish I could draw as well as Doubleleaf XD cause I would so make these short fics into comics.
Ah well. Fluffy romance is a good substitute, I suppose. Thanks for faving, guys!
